“To profit from books you don’t have to live in a library,” he would say.
Or, even more forcefully, “You can read books without ever stepping into a library; and practice spirituality without ever going to a church.”
It’s still in us to seek God, without the help of organized religion. Our relationship with God is not contingent on what church doors we darken. God loves us without us having never walked in a church. However, we are commanded to not forsake the assembling of ourselves. We are to gather with one another with like-minded faith and to speak the same things.
There should be no divisions with us except they leave sound doctrine and foundational beliefs. Today is Sunday….according to my calendar it’s the first day of the week- start it off prayer to God….He is still listening and still loving you.
God wants us…only us. The only thing we need to share with the world is His Word;….but we belong to Him. Amen? or Oh me?
1 Corinth. 10: 20-22 ” But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils. Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? ”
