‘On a clear, bright sunny day take powerful magnifying glass and a stack of newspapers and go outside for an experiment. Hold the magnifying glass over a pile of crumpled pages. Even though you are magnifying the power of the sun’s rays through the glass lens, you will never start a fire – if you keep moving the glass.
But if you hold the magnifying glass still, allowing it to focus the rays in a concentrated beam of sun energy, you harness the power of the sun and multiply it through the lens – starting a fire.’
Consider the focus of Judas when he was betraying Jesus; The Jews cared nothing for Judas, they just used his focus against him. He was deceived and much enjoyed the flattering they used on him, not to mention the money (30 pieces of silver) they were going to give him for assisting with the arrest of Jesus. You know how that went, when Judas realized what he had done in betraying innocent blood, he committed suicide.
Again, look at what happened in the Garden of Eden; the serpent did not threaten to bite her or forcefully make her do anything against God- it was her focus on the deceiving words of an enemy. satan; similar to those that follow him coming at us attempting to change our focus.
Those who focus on evil or the devil and attribute powers to darkness, satan or those of ungodly nature have already fallen prey to a lie from the darkness, the serpent of old.
The best defense against evil, ungodliness, negatives that only crawl around in this world is to keep our focus on the truths in God’s Word, on good things, just things, beautiful things,.
Anytime you see or hear about satanic oppression messing up things in this world, rest assured, God’s presence is there too. But hey, If we make our bed in hell, God is with us (Ref. Ps. 139:8).
What is real sad is that many people are more sensitive to dark things in this world instead of light, or things of God.
Focusing on evil, problems, heartaches, stress, etc and letting it dominate your focus or thinking is a sure guarantee it will come your way. What you stay focused on is what you will have. What you choose to magnify in your life will always dominate you. Choose to focus on and magnify God!
God’s Word says this:
Phil 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
