With Plastic Straw Bans Gathering Steam, Are Balloons Next?
Funny, I’ve never seen in my entire life (47 years) a bird: “Death by Balloon.” Have people lost their minds??? 😐
“Plastic straws are on their way out, and balloons could be next.
A thorn in the side of environmentalists, the tradition of releasing balloons into the air can be deadly to seabirds and turtles when pieces fall back to earth and are eaten by the creatures. And even though they’re a very small fraction of environmental pollution, there are early signs that balloons could be the next item to face scrutiny…….”
Hate to sound satirical but, by the time all the supposed dangerous plastic and rubber has been banned, and vanished; considered now, contraband; worthy of jail…all the sea creatures will have died off from the oceans, etc Cause: well, we can tell you that plastic was not the culprit. I’d say radiation, chemicals, chemtrails and man-altered bacteria. Oh well…not a big deal in my book and not the most stupid idea from environmentalists. But just my opinion; got one like everyone else. And opinions are like noses, we all have one and usually have a couple holes in it.
The scientists from Ohio State compared three popular pitcher brands (they refused to name which brands exactly in the study) ranging in price from $15 to $50. What they found was that while all pitchers were able to reduce the concentration on microcystins, only one was able to remove the toxins thoroughly………..
………When asked which brands his team used for the study, Chaffin gives only the slightest clue, “In general, the cheaper the pitcher, the worse job it did filtering out the toxins.”………………..”
A scientific study has reaffirmed that a popular weedkiller manufactured by Syngenta and used on crop fields all across the United States is so damaging to the endocrine system that it can actually turn natural-born males into females………
……..Atrazine causes the body to produce more female hormones like estrogen
Atrazine, which is currently sprayed on millions of acres of U.S. cropland to control grass weeds, seems to conversely spur the growth of a protein known as aromatase that causes the body to produce more female hormones such as estrogen. In frogs, excess aromatase can lead to male gonads turning into female ovaries………”
