Dynamite= Powerfully Changed Life (Sunday Story Inspiration)

Ephesians 3:16
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;”

…I quickly changed into my after-school clothes so I could watch the men who were “dynamiting” the rock layer where an addition to our house would be built. They pre-drilled a layer of rock, loaded the holes with dynamite and then dragged a cable net over the site. Ignition caused an explosion that lifted the cable net off the ground.

Then the men dragged the net away and cleaned up the broken rock. Eventually the excavation beside our house was deep enough to pour a footer and concrete floor. The surrounding land was still the same, but the work area was completely different from how it use to be before.

In Similar:

In our verse above, Ephesians 3:16, the word “MIGHT” in the Greek is “DUNAMIS, it’s where we get our word “DYNAMITE.” The power of God and His Word is such that it has the same effects that dynamite had in the illustration above. It completely and powerfully changes us so that we are no longer the same person.

We have new desires, ambitions, motives, hopes and our goals line up more with God than that of the world’s following. Even people that knew you before will see that you are not the same person. 2 Corinthians states this: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

There is no ability in us to make change; not a permanent change. Oh we might can change a few things, but it won’t be consistent. When we try to change ourselves for the better we still end up doing the things we don’t want to do and then we get so depressed and stressed cause we fail trying to do things in our lives that only God can do; that’s how God designed us to be- total dependent on Him.

If you don’t like something in your life, ask God to come in and change it. He will. Thanks and praise to God that we can still in this late hour experience His “DYNAMITE” and be personally strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man. 🙂

Do You Have Troubles ? (Sunday Inspiration)

2 Corinthians 1:4
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”

The Word ‘trouble‘ is found over a hundred times in the King James (Original and most accurate translation in English) Bible, and the word “troubled” 68 times. We should not find that surprising…Job in Job 14:1 states, “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.” That may sound very negative but back then, it was a reality. Men of God in the Old Testament, such a Job, Joseph, King David and Daniel had many troubles. In the New Testament, Jesus was sometimes troubled and so were His disciples.

We see this especially in Paul’s voyage. Paul was on a stormy voyage that ended in a shipwreck. Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2:9, “Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.”

Trouble can be in this world: afflictions (many times by our own hands), distresses (worries, stress, etc), disease (eating poorly, taking drugs, false beliefs),financial issues (poor decisions with money), loss of material items (stolen, weather related, etc), and mechanical breakdowns (man made cars, computers and machines). But how should we relate to these things? Obviously in a positive way: Jesus said, in John 14:1, “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”

Again in John 14:27 Jesus says, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Peter, one of Jesus’ disciples stated this in 1 Peter 5:7, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

Instead of being troubled with the cares of this life lets sit at the feet of Jesus and focus on God rather than our trouble. Which ever one (troubles or God) we magnify the most in our life will dominate our future.

Know this, that God (if believed) will not only help us in trouble, but also help keep us out of trouble. 🙂

Don’t know about God’s help? Change your trouble into triumph

Entering That Rest (Sunday Inspiration-10-7-2018)

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Hebrews 4:11

As most people know, God created our bodies to get tired; we have a need to rest. It feels great to get a good night’s rest, then to wake up feeling refreshed after a hard day’s work the day before. If we were to work for days without stopping to sleep, eventually we would not be able to function properly. God has also placed in every person a longing for a “rest” in his or her heart. The world today is filled with people endeavoring to satisfy that desire, that rest but most, are going to the wrong source.

Some, try drugs alcohol or immorality; others go to seeking wealth (money, bling, etc), still others can’t leave fashion, electronics, pleasures, even sports alone….. and many, wrap their lives around politics. But a person who gives to these pursuits will only compound their problems. These cannot ever satisfy; we would only come up needing more and what we perceive to be something different from these and other desires. The unsatisfied quest sought for daily!

They, are left with the same hollow feeling as before, because the inner desire of one’s heart will NEVER be truly satisfied with anything this world offers.

Today’s key verse (see above) admonishes us to “…labour therefore to enter into that rest…” Normally it takes little effort to engage in physical rest, but here we have a “rest” that requires much effort to gain and diligence to maintain.

This “rest” is for the soul and it comes at a price. You must “want” this rest more than anything you own or ever hope to possess. It demands our all! In natural life, we rest by sleeping and taking breaks. But in true Christianity, the true seeking and finding of the One and ONLY true God, we dare not take breaks, lest we fall by the wayside chasing some other worldly path.

So how do we find this “rest?” In Matthew 11:28 (KJV) Jesus (the Son of God) gave this beautiful invitation: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” The ONLY way for your inner longing to be perfectly satisfied is by coming to Jesus and surrendering your life to Him; stop seeking your own way. Only then will you find that “rest” that our souls desperately need. May we do this today and continue through this new week coming, to enter into this rest and maybe bring someone with us. Others around us need a good rest as well. 🙂

James 1:2 “Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.”

Hebrews 4:8 “There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”

The Right Response (Sunday Inspiration)

Key verse today:Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4:10) (KJV)

During a revival meeting years ago, I looked over at a man who had been struggling with some serious failings in life. He obviously was experiencing strong conviction, becuase tears were rolling down his face. But when the invitation from the minister was given to come forward and repent and ask the Lord into the heart, he got up from his seat and walked out the back door.

While conviction and remorse are essential to genuine repentance, the right response to these emotions is also a big need. Quenching the Spirit of God as He speaks to us will harden our hearts towards God. The admonition to “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16) this includes listening to God’s Spirit, even when the God tells us things we really don’t want to hear.

In times of great crisis, the Jews pleaded with Jeremiah (prophet) to pray, “That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.” (Jeremiah 42:3) But God’s answer was not what the Jews wanted to hear, and in their response to His prophet was “…Thou speakest falsely:…” (Jeremiah 43:2).

After Jesus was condemned to death by the Jews (John 19:15), Judas “repented himself“……….”Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood….” (Matthew 27:3-4). Yet Judas’ conviction and remorse resulted in his self destruction; Judas chose poorly.

God has given each person a conscience, and when fortified with knowledge of God’s Word (KJV only), the conscience not only convicts us of wrong but guides us in dealing with any wrongs. Let’s ensure that we never ignore that small still voice, either by disregarding it or by choosing an alternative (our own ways) solution that seems better or easier to the flesh (mind, opinions). 🙂

Pagan Religion And The Never-Ending Quest To Be God (SUNDAY LINKS)

HAVE A GREAT SUNDAY. YOU’RE BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING.

“The serpent’s words in the garden…”Thou shalt not surely die”… implied an entire worldview that was radically at odds with God’s revelation of Himself and the foundational structure of the world He created. Think about it this way… if God couldn’t deliver on His threat to punish Adam and Eve for violating His law regarding “the tree”… then the world could not be His creation.

If it was all just a bluff as the serpent suggested, the world must be self-existent and self-defining. No God needed. People just are and the world simply is. The universe might be in some sense unfolding, developing or evolving… but with no creator, it’s left as John Lennon said, “no hell below us, above us only sky.”……….”

China to ban online Christian content in exactly the same way Facebook and YouTube are banning Christian videos in America

“The similarities between communist China and Silicon Valley are just too much to ignore. Now the Chinese government is cracking down on Christian and other religious content online, joining Facebook, Google and other American tech giants in an attack on free speech and religion.

The war on Christianity is reaching its apex: Left-wing tech companies censoring and banning users for daring to share Bible verses on their platforms here in the United States, and in China, things are even worse. Bible burning and forcing Christians to denounce their faith are the new “normal” in Communist China, where the only permissible “god” is Big Government………..”

End Times Persecution Is Here: The Largest Country In The World Is Destroying 1000s Of Crosses And Bibles

“Many Christians in the western world don’t even realize that the persecution of the end times has already started.  All over the world, Christians are being attacked, Bibles are being burned and churches are being shut down.  This persecution has been escalating for quite some time, but what prompted me to write this article today was the dramatic change that we have witnessed in China this year.  Up to this point, the Chinese government has largely tolerated the booming house church movement, but now that era of toleration is officially over.  New religious regulations that went into effect in February are being brutally enforced, and this is causing some to point out the frightening parallels between Communist China and Nazi Germany……….”

The Scary Truth About How We Lost All Sense Of Truth (Sunday LINK)

Hope Everyone’s Sunday Begins and Ends Well. Thank the Lord today, and everyday. 🙂 Be blessed!

“It’s not a stretch in any sense to say that our postmodern world no longer believes in absolute truth. Objective knowledge and absolute truth are long since gone. Fragmentation, multi-culturalism, and rejection of any overarching meaning are now culturally normal assumptions. In essence, truth is “truth” for the moment. It becomes “truth” for this group of people or that group of people, for this occasion or that occasion.

The postmodern mindset sees every cultural community or social group generating its own “story,” its own explanation of the way things are in an attempt to empower itself. White Anglo-Saxon males, for example, supposedly have their own story and their own truth. African Americans have their story. Women have theirs. And so none of these collective stories are true in any absolute sense. Furthermore, none are an accurate representation of reality. That’s because for postmodernism, reality isn’t real, and truth is, at best, painfully relative………..”

If You Fall (Story)

It’s Sunday…..so here is a story in “of the story..” style:

I recently read a story about a man needing to move some cattle he owned. He needed to move those cows to the opposite end of a pasture to let them start grazing on a new section of grassland. And, this meant that the cows had to cross a waterway. A few calves went first; leaping splashing, tails lifted up with excitement. The more mature ones went through the waterway at the shallow end, it was a well-used crossing…some with more drama and others with less; but they moved along making good headway…it was a show to see!

The last cow however, a skinny one, did fairly well until she got to the opposite side. As she began climbing the bank, she FELL. There she was, with her back feet in the water and her front feet on the slick slope. She made several valiant attempts to go up the slope but she was too weak. NOW WHAT?

Would that little calf slide back down into the water and drown? The owner of the cows thought to himself that there was no way he was strong enough that he could help that little Bessie keep her head out of the water until help could come; cow heads are heavy, especially when attached to a cow. So the cow and that man were both stuck. What a sight!

The moral OF THE STORY? If you’re a Christian, we do not practice sin. But if we stumble, God helps us back up.

Proverbs 24:16 says, “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again:….

Again, Psalm 37:24 states, “Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

Because of God, we can say,“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.” (Micah 7:8)

But for some, for all really, we need to make a certain “FALL,” and we must fall hard. We need to fall on Jesus! “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken:…….” If we FALL on Him, and let our self-will be broken, we can be assured that He will lift us up to walk in newness of life.

Wondering about that skinny cow? She got out. She trusted the man and gave it her all, all the while, the man held up her head to keep her from drowning. It’s a true story by the way. 😉

2 Peter 1:10
Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:………”

Have a great and peaceful Sunday. 🙂
