As a Man Thinks

The following are somethings I had to relearn; or remember again. Hope it helps you too.” –Moraldiplomat

‘If you want to get somewhere, you have to know where you want to go and how to get there. Then never, never, never give up.

The secret of life isn’t what happens to you, but what you do with what happens to you.

Help other people to cope with their problems and your own will be easier to cope with (Luke 6:35,38).

Never use the word impossible seriously again. Toss it into the verbal wastebasket.

Trusting in God is the first secret of success. So believe in and trust the Lord (Mark 11:22).

Stand up to your obstacles speaking against them; and do something about them. You will find that they haven’t half the strength you think they have (Matt 21:21).

Joy increases as you give it, and diminishes as you try to keep it for yourself. In giving it, you will accumulate a deposit of joy greater than you ever believed possible (Phil 2:4 ).

How you think about a problem is more important than the problem itself – so always think positively.

Go at life with abandon; give it all you’ve got. And life will give all it has to you. God will supply the need. Faith without works is dead; so do something to put with your faith and it will come to pass (Mt 6:33).

Rom 12:2 “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

The American Dream

An American businessman was standing at the pier of a small coastal Mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked. Inside the small boat were several large yellow-fin tuna. The American complimented the Mexican on the quality of his fish.

How long did it take you to catch them?” the American asked.

Only a little while” the Mexican replied.

Why don’t you stay out longer and catch more fish?” the American then asked.

I have enough to support my family’s immediate needs” the Mexican said.

But” the American then asked, “What do you do with the rest of your time?”

The Mexican fisherman said: “I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take a siesta with my wife, Maria, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my amigos. I have a full and busy life, señor.”

The American scoffed: “I am a Harvard MBA and could help you. You should spend more time fishing and with the proceeds you could buy a bigger boat and, with the proceeds from the bigger boat, you could buy several boats. Eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman, you would sell directly to the consumers, eventually opening your own can factory. You would control the product, processing and distribution. You would need to leave this small coastal fishing village and move to Mexico City, then LA and eventually NYC where you will run your expanding enterprise.”

The Mexican fisherman asked: “But señor, how long will this all take?”

To which the American replied: “15-20 years.”

But what then, señor?”

The American laughed and said: “That’s the best part. When the time is right, you would announce an IPO – an Initial Public Offering – and sell your company stock to the public and become very rich. You would make millions.”

Millions, señor? “Then what?”

The American said slowly: “Then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take a siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos...”

The Mexican fishermen just looked at this American and tuned and began playing his guitar. LOL!

It’s Friday By My Calendar!

Come by and sign my quest books at both my websites 🙂

If you like to read, you will have found the right page (website). If you know Jesus, then you most definitely found a good and safe page (King James Only). I don’t want to preach at you, but if you don’t know the Lord as your Savior and Father; then you will have found such an opportunity to draw close to Him there.

My websites are cell phone optimized but you will get much more out of them from a PC. My first site, http://erkenntnisse.jimdo.com/ has many things that pertain to Christian doctrines. Nothing hard, just simple truths I’ve learned over the years from the Lord. There is no way I could cover all the topics on the Bible, but if you have time come by and see why it’s a good start…LOL!

What’s To See?

There is a special “blog” page (testimonies) where I display real peoples’ testimonies on their healings that will inspire you to really walk in the health that we, as God’s children (exclusive) have. If you are a student of the Bible then there is a small reference area that may help you as you walk with the Lord, as well as a “where to find” page. A favorite quotes page, pages on prayer and how to pray, there is a picture gallery (two actually) of some of my favorite pics, polls, news, news links. For prayer requests; there is a page that you can fill out (all is held with powerful confidentiality) and me and my wife will pray for your most urgent need and agree with you that it be done.

And, if you are a weather buff like me and “watch” it as I do, there are pages that contain weather (earth weather changes) links to some of my favorite weather sources. And if you are a watcher of the sun and moon changes, there are pages with technical data on them and on the side bar you have sun and moon data with a real time picture of the sun. I’ve only begun to tell you all that’s there!

Newest Website!

Praise God! I just opened up a new website http://moralcompass.jimdo.com/ Not quite finished with it as I have not started posting moral stories similar to the ones you read here at WordPress; but when I do I will post a notification here. As you can go to http://erkenntnisse.jimdo.com/ you will find that the home (front) page changes daily (new “Scripture picture” and the “holiday date” on this day; seems everyday there is a holiday somewhere…LOL) so does http://moralcompass.jimdo.com/ only I have “quotes of the day” there, “news,” “this day in history,” “article of the day,” and I even have games on http://moralcompass.jimdo.com/ THERE’S TOO MUCH TO LIST. But hey, even if nothing else interests you; stop by and sign my guest books there. It would mean a lot to me and my family.
I want to thank you in advance for coming by. If you find it’s not your thing, I appreciate you very much. However, maybe you know someone else that might enjoy it if so, please share it with them. I have nothing to sell, nothing ever to buy. But much to be gained and I welcome any input you may have. I know you will be blessed by what you see. Oh, and if you want to contact me personally, there is a “contact page” on both sites. So if you have time; shoot me a line!
