Situational Awareness In Prepping (Test Yourself Video)

Please take a minute and a half to watch the video below, if you haven’t already.

Why does situational awareness fail?

Situational awareness is a term tossed around a lot in prepper circles, and everyone agrees it’s a great thing. Be cognizant of what’s going on in your vicinity. Pay attention to your surroundings. The problem is … that’s great advice, but hearing it won’t make it happen. Wanting to be aware won’t make it happen either. Why does situational awareness fail and what can improve it?…….”

The Right Response (Sunday Inspiration)

Key verse today:Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” (James 4:10) (KJV)

During a revival meeting years ago, I looked over at a man who had been struggling with some serious failings in life. He obviously was experiencing strong conviction, becuase tears were rolling down his face. But when the invitation from the minister was given to come forward and repent and ask the Lord into the heart, he got up from his seat and walked out the back door.

While conviction and remorse are essential to genuine repentance, the right response to these emotions is also a big need. Quenching the Spirit of God as He speaks to us will harden our hearts towards God. The admonition to “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” (Galatians 5:16) this includes listening to God’s Spirit, even when the God tells us things we really don’t want to hear.

In times of great crisis, the Jews pleaded with Jeremiah (prophet) to pray, “That the LORD thy God may shew us the way wherein we may walk, and the thing that we may do.” (Jeremiah 42:3) But God’s answer was not what the Jews wanted to hear, and in their response to His prophet was “…Thou speakest falsely:…” (Jeremiah 43:2).

After Jesus was condemned to death by the Jews (John 19:15), Judas “repented himself“……….”Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood….” (Matthew 27:3-4). Yet Judas’ conviction and remorse resulted in his self destruction; Judas chose poorly.

God has given each person a conscience, and when fortified with knowledge of God’s Word (KJV only), the conscience not only convicts us of wrong but guides us in dealing with any wrongs. Let’s ensure that we never ignore that small still voice, either by disregarding it or by choosing an alternative (our own ways) solution that seems better or easier to the flesh (mind, opinions). 🙂

Healthy shopper alert: Many packaged products at popular food retailers are made with blood-clogging canola oil (LINK)

Just a heads up. Canola oils should always be avoided. Not very wise to eat foods with it, nor to cook with that element. The body cannot process properly, fake junk. Causes many ailments that you might attribute to hereditary, or other illness issues, when the whole time it was how and what we were eating. But health wise. Not everything you eat or that is made to ingest is good for you. I know many highly paid chefs endorse and use canola oil (why I don’t know..ignorance?), but the safest oils at this time and for all times have been pure Corn Oil, organic butter, Olive oil, and coconut oils; and yes, if you can find it, organic peanut oils. Pure lard or tallow is also a good eat! Read the story below:

“People think because they’re shopping at a popular “natural foods” retailer that whatever they pick up is always a safe, clean and healthy option compared to traditional, conventional grocery stores. Wrong.

Ever heard of rapeseed oil? If you’re a NaturalNews “regular,” you have. Most countries around the world grow rapeseed to produce its oil for diesel fuel, but in America, we eat it.  Even though rapeseed is toxic to humans because it contains 50 percent erucic acid, a Canadian scientist conspired with the FDA long ago to lower its acid content to meet FDA standards for human consumption, renamed it Canola (short for “Canadian oil low acid”), and now it’s Canada’s number one export to the good ole’ United States.

We feed it to animals (including humans) because it doesn’t make them sick right away, and it’s very cheap. Canola oil coagulates in the blood over time. We feed it to cows, pigs, chickens, and unsuspecting humans. Canola and rapeseed are excellent insect repellents, by the way. Plus, rapeseed “oil cake” is also used as a fertilizer in China. What a versatile plant, huh?……….”

Ibuprofen found to raise blood pressure in people with arthritis and cardiovascular issues (LINK)

According to a study, “ibuprofen is associated with increased blood pressure and hypertension” compared to celecoxib given to patients who had osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis and increased risk of cardiovascular disease………..

According to Professor Ruschitzka, the study reveals that NSAIDs like ibuprofen may not be as safe as previously thought. He advises patients with osteoarthritis and arthritis to consult their doctor before taking NSAIDs to “weigh the potential hazards of worsening blood pressure control when considering the use of these agents.”

“Since decreasing systolic blood pressure by just 2 mmHg lowers stroke mortality by 10 percent and ischaemic heart disease mortality by seven percent, increases in systolic blood pressure associated with NSAIDs as observed in PRECISION-ABPM should be considered clinically relevant,” Professor Ruschitzka concluded………”
